Family, friends and top Fire Service brass from the region were among those who packed Barrie Fire Headquarters for a retirement party for Fire Chief John Lynn.
Lynn is hanging up his gear after nearly 40 years in the fire service.
This week city council named Deputy Bill Boyes as Lynn's successor.
