Police stopped a vehicle driving northbound on Toronto Street just after 10 p.m. on Monday night.
The driver; a 52-year-old Barrie male was recognized by police, as he was wanted on a warrant.
The male was wanted for a theft and fraud that had occurred at Rona in Barrie on June 1, 2016.
He will appear in bail court Tuesday morning.
