Barrie Police have blocked off the back alleys located behind 10 Dunlop St. E. to 34 Dunlop St. E. while they investigate an incident that happened Saturday morning.
Barrie Police’s Peter Leon told BarrieToday it is still very early in the investigation and police would provide an update when they could.
“We have an ongoing investigation that is underway from an incident that occurred earlier this morning,” said Leon. “We are not in a position to speak to the details at this time as it is still rather fluid in nature. We will provide information when we can.”
Leon said the investigation would "hopefully not" disrupt any plans for today’s Santa Claus parade.
