Police are looking for two men after a theft at Laundry Mart on Vincent Street

Police have obtained video surveillance from a theft that occurred on Sunday, Jan. 22, 2017 at the Laundry Mart located at 150 St. Vincent Street, in the City of Barrie, and are seeking the public’s assistance to identify two suspects.

Just after 10 p.m. the first suspect was observed entering the Laundry Mart and manipulating the locking mechanism on coin boxes affixed to several washing machines.

A second male who had been standing outside as a lookout entered the Laundry Mart and stood by for several minutes, then both men fled the area heading westbound on Penetang Street.

The suspects are described as;

Suspect # 1

  • Male, white
  • 5'10"
  • Thin build
  • Wearing a black baseball hat, black scarf covering his face, grey and black winter jacket, blue shirt, black gloves and neon yellow running shoes.

Suspect # 2

  • Male, white
  • Medium build
  • Grey goatee
  • Wearing a black toque, white gloves, dark plaid jacket, and black pants and carrying a grey backpack.
