A Collingwood driver couldn't duck away from impaired driving charges after being stopped by police, even with an actual duck in the car.
Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) reportedly responded to a 911 call from a concerned member of the public on July 19 around 8 p.m. and pulled over a driver in the area of Highway 27 and Innisfil Beach Road suspected of operating a vehicle while impaired.
Officers found a pet duck and a 47-year-old woman from Collingwood inside the vehicle.
The woman was charged with impaired driving with a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit. The duck was left in the care of family and is safe, say OPP.
The accused will face the charges later at the Bradford Ontario Court of Justice.
