A power outage in Barrie’s north end left more than 2,300 customers without power this morning.
Alectra Utilities currently has crews working on restoring the issue in the area and are estimating power to be restored between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. today (June 18).
The cause of the outage, which had affected 2,379 homes and businesses in the area near Cundles Road and Bayfield Street, was determined to be an animal coming into contact with Alectra equipment.
Shortly before 10:30 a.m., the number of affected customers was down to around 650.
