A site plan application has been submitted to the City of Barrie for a new condo development on the waterfront.
The address of the proposed development is 205 Dunlop St. East and involves two lots at 185 and 205 Dunlop Street East located between Sam Cancilla Park and an already existing condo tower.
The plan submitted by Aalto Developments Inc. proposes one large, 11-storey mixed use building with a rooftop restaurant.
The plan features 193 residential units with two levels of underground parking and ground floor and rooftop commercial.
The site plan was submitted to city hall just over two weeks ago.
The city's Senior Communications Advisor Scott Lamantia confirms the application is now complete as of today.
One of the city's new site plan signs will be placed at the property.
The lot has been vacant for years but there have been a couple of previous development applications that never proceeded. The site was the long-time home to the Lakeview Dairy.
