Scully says he brings active participation to the political scene

Scully says being actively involved in politics as a volunteer has allowed him to have 'a deep understanding' of what it takes to do the job
BarrieToday reached out to the eight candidates in the Ward 3 byelection and asked them why they thought they were best-suited to fill the vacant seat on city council. Six of the eight candidates responded. We are publishing their responses in their own words. Voting in the byelection ends Feb. 24. For more information on how to vote, click here

Since moving to Barrie three years ago, I have been involved in community initiatives, and have been actively involved in making our city an even better place to live and grow.

Being involved in various non-profits as well as being actively involved in politics as a volunteer has allowed me to have a deep understanding of just what it takes to do the job and get real results for my constituents.

I am committed to being accessible and present for every resident of Ward 3, and ensuring that community safety, respect for the taxpayer and representing the ward effectively are always my top priorities.
