The Innisfil Seed Library, in partnership with the Innisfil ideaLAB & Library and Innisfil Garden Club, is hosting its seventh annual Innisfil Seedy Saturday on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Innisfil ideaLAB & Library, Lakeshore branch, 967 Innisfil Beach Rd.

Seedy Saturdays are a phenomenon held all over Ontario and across the country, and we are proud to continue hosting this popular spring event in our bustling community. These events bring together both new and seasoned gardeners, seed savers and community members passionate about mindful gardening, food security and our environment.
Not to be missed this year: Learn the secrets to creating healthy soil for your plants and how to grow your own edible gourmet mushrooms. Ask local master gardeners all your gardening questions. Bring your kids to an interactive story time to celebrate the growing season. Create a garden-themed project in the library’s hackLAB. Get seeds for purchase and free of charge from exhibitors including the Innisfil Seed Library, reopening for its ninth season. Buy a bee house, wild bird food, organic compost, naturally dyed fabric and so much more.
“We’re excited for what promises to be another inspiring spring event,” says Bridget Indelicato, event organizer and founder of the Innisfil Seed Library. “Discover some of our new, amazing vendors this year and visit your familiar favourites. As always, we’re offering free activities including expert presentations, story time for children and a project in the library’s hackLAB. Be sure to join us and gear up for the upcoming growing season.”
