Three pumper trucks and a tanker responded this afternoon to a shed fire near Park Place in south-end Barrie.
Firefighters got the call shortly before 4:30 p.m., Oct. 11, about a fire in a Quonset shed in the area between the retirement residence at Park Place and the new FedEx building, close to the intersection of Bayview Drive and Big Bay Point Road.
Barrie deputy fire chief Carrie Clark told BarrieToday the fire was quickly extinguished and there were no injuries.
“The cause is unknown as crews are still on scene, but it appears there were possibly people living in it, which would give opportunity for fire to occur,” said Clark.
The investigation is in its early stages.
No damage estimate has been determined.
