South Simcoe Police release photos of Fentanyl seized in pharmacy robbery bust

Deadly patches among 'large quantity of drugs' recovered in raids

South Simcoe Police have released photographs of drugs seized during search warrants executed at two Bradford homes in connection with an armed hold-up spree at Bradford and York Region pharmacies. 

Police recovered a large quantity of drugs, including Fentanyl patches, weapons and cash following the investigation into six armed robberies of drug stores since October. 

The South Simcoe Police Criminal Investigation Unit had teamed up with the York Regional Police Hold Up Unit and the OPP Investigation and Support Bureau.

Two suspects were arrested on Thursday. 

A 26-year-old Bradford man faces 34 charges including six counts of robbery, three counts of armed robbery, six counts of disguise with intent, six counts of possession of narcotics, six counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, six counts of trafficking and one count of flight from police.

A 21-year-old Bradford man has been charged with robbery, armed robbery, disguise with intent, possession of narcotics, possession for the purpose of trafficking and trafficking.

Both men were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
