Stage is set for a big party Barrie!

The Illuminate Barrie Festival celebrates Canada's 150th birthday

The Illuminate Barrie Festival starts at noon today and is being billed as a one-of-a-kind celebration for Canada's 150th birthday.

The family-friendly event at Allandale Station Park includes live entertainment, distinctly Canadian foods and activities, a local producers and vendor market, a heritage village and stunning Canada 150-themed fireworks choreographed to music Saturday and Sunday nights at 9 p.m. 

There will be axe-throwing, Sciensational Sssnakes, Science North, Summer Watersports Show and the list goes on.
