A planned repaving project that was expected to begin today on Bayfield Street has been delayed.
Through funding from the province, work was to begin Thursday with concrete curb and sidewalk replacements while also seeing asphalt repaving work done.
In an email, the City of Barrie says work on the project will likely now begin next week.
Once construction starts, lane closures will be in effect from Cundles Road to Livingstone Street during the day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and overnight from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Weather-permitting, the project is expected to be complete in October.
