A swim advisory put in place for Minet’s Point in Barrie following a nearby sewage spill has been lifted.

The advisory was issued Monday after a contractor working on the Bayview Drive road improvement project hit a sewer line, causing a spill.

Bacteriological results from samples taken Tuesday “are within the acceptable range for recreational water use,” a city spokesperson said, adding swim advisory signage has been removed from the beach.
