Thousands of Alectra customers without power in north Barrie (update)

As of 10:45 a.m., Alectra said 3,407 customers were affected by the outage; Crews dispatched to investigate and fix the problem

Update (Monday, 3:27 p.m.): Alectra says all power for all customers has now been restored. Anyone who is still experiencing issues is asked to call 1-833-ALECTRA.

More than 3,400 Alectra customers are without power this morning in north-end Barrie after a vehicle crashed into a hydro pole at Cundles Road and Coulter Street.

Barrie police remind drivers that intersections with inoperable traffic lights should be treated as a four-way stop. 

As of 10:45 a.m., Alectra said 3,407 customers were affected by the outage. Crews have been dispatched to investigate and fix the problem. 

Restoration is expected sometime between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., according to Alectra.

The affected areas are around Anne Street North, Bayfield Street, Cundles Road, Dunlop Street, Edgehill Drive, Ferndale Drive, Kozlov Street, and Sunnidale Road.
