Weather

Cloudy with flurries and periods of snow, possibly mixed with showers at times today under a low. Cloudy with flurries and periods of light snow on Friday and Saturday. Currently under a snow squall watch.

Priority Roads

Salt trucks were dispatched at 830 a.m. to cover all routes.

Secondary Roads

Residential roads are covering over. Sanders started applying material on all routes at 12:30 p.m. A loader is out in Ward 7 clearing ice pack.

Priority Sidewalks

Priority sidewalk machines were out at 8 a.m., plowing and sanding. Operations will continue until conditions improve.

Residential Sidewalks

Residential sidewalk machines were sent out at 8 a.m. to plow and sand. They are expected to be complete at 4 p.m.

Reminder: Overnight Parking By-law

As per the Overnight Parking By-law, on-street parking is not permitted from 3–6 a.m. within the Downtown Business Improvement Area, and on other City streets from 12:01–7 a.m., Dec. 1 through Mar. 31.

This ensures the City can completely clear streets of snow and that large emergency vehicles can get down the street.
