INNISFIL - Get out of the cold and into the Library! During the month of February there are a number of exciting events occurring at the Innisfil ideaLAB & Library that will coax your inner passion out of hibernation. From musical performances, to Tinkershops for all ages and interests – there’s something for everyone!
Barrie Jazz and Blues Festival’s February Blues
The Library will be celebrating the Barrie Jazz and Blues Festival’s February Blues with two incredible performances.
Aura Rully - Join us for a mesmerizing performance from the legendary Aura Rully, a seasoned jazz and blues performer. Aura has performed with Duke Ellington and Quincy Jones during her incredible career. Friday, Feb. 3, 6 – 9 p.m. · Lakeshore Branch
The Birdland Trio - Join us for the hot blues sound of the Birdland Trio at the Cookstown Branch. The trio is Bob Livingston on trombone, Will Davis on piano and Bruce Rumball on Bass. Saturday, Feb. 4, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. · Cookstown Branch
Tinkershops
Tinkershops are a great way to get acquainted with the Library's Hack Lab and Media Lab technology. You'll receive a quick tour of the space and learn the basics for vinyl cutting, lasering, 3D printing, digital conversion, circuitry, or coding!
