Two charged with impaired

As a result of the efforts of Orillia OPP, two drivers were charged with drinking and driving offences over the long weekend.

On Dec. 31, 2016 Orillia OPP was conducting R.I.D.E on Southorn road in Severn Township, when Timothy Joslin, 48 years old, of Barrie Ontario approached the check point. 

As a result of the stop the male was charged with: Impaired Operation, Exceed 80mgs.

The accused was also charged with: Novice Driver Blood Alcohol Content Above Zero, Drive Motor Vehicle Not Equipped with an Approved Ignition Interlock Device and Class G1 Licence Holder – Unaccompanied By Qualified Driver all under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.

The accused was released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of Jan. 24, 2017.

On Jan. 2, 2017 Orillia OPP members responded to a motor vehicle collision. 

As a result of the investigation Veronica Glambos, 32 years old, of Orillia Ontario was charged with Criminal Code offences: Driving While Ability Impaired, Driving with More than 80mg of Alcohol in Blood, Take Motor Vehicle Without Consent, Dangerous Driving, Fail to Stop at the Scene of an Accident and Driving While Under Suspension under the Highway Traffic Act.

She has been released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of Jan. 17, 2017 in Orillia.
