Victim ambushed, suffers broken bones

BRADFORD - On Friday, Aug. 26, 2016, just before 9 p.m., South Simcoe Police officers were on a call in Bradford when they were approached by a man who told them he had been assaulted.

Officers learned that the man went to a Moore Street home when he was ambushed and assaulted by two suspects. He was able to escape, but suffered some broken bones.

A 19-year-old Bradford man was arrested nearby, and a 17-year-old Bradford youth was arrested on Saturday.

The man was charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm; the youth was charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm and Assault with a Weapon.

Both will appear in court in October and have been ordered to stay away from the victim.
