Barrie reacts to Quebec terror attack

Barrie politicians took to twitter Monday to condemn the terror attack on a Quebec mosque.

Mayor Jeff Lehman tweeted: "Waking to horrible news in Quebec. Canadians should never have to face fear for practicing their faith. My heart breaks for the families."

"My thoughts and prayers are with the loved ones of the victims of this horrible attack in Quebec City," tweeted Alex Nuttall, MP for Barrie-Springwater–Oro-Medonte. "My heart breaks for all my Muslim brothers and sisters. Every Canadian should be allowed to worship and live in peace."

Progressive Conservative Party Leader and MPP for Simcoe North Patrick Brown tweeted:

"Horrified to learn of the unspeakable and shocking attack at the Sainte-Foy mosque in Quebec City. Thoughts & prayers are with the families."

On its twitter feed, the Simcoe County District School Board said, "This morning, our thoughts are with those affected by the attack in Quebec."

The Town of Innisfil has announced that its flag will fly at half staff in honour of those killed last night.
