Being constructed at 70 Dean Ave., in south-end Barrie, are 199 apartments in buildings of three to nine storeys in height.
Developer Landmark Tower’s property is beside the Painswick branch of the Barrie Public Library.
To develop this project, the land has been rezoned to residential apartment second density, with special provisions, from institutional with special provisions.
The special provisions in the new zoning include tandem parking, building height and the rear-yard landscaping buffer.
Dean Avenue is located between Big Bay Point Road and Madelaine Drive in south Barrie.
