A woman was killed and two others were injured in a house fire on Park Crescent in Tottenham.
New Tecumseth Firefighters, Nottawasaga OPP and Simcoe County Paramedics were called to the semi-detached home late New Year's Day.
"We got the call just before midnight last night. It was a fully engulfed structure fire. We had report of two people that got out of the residence and one was trapped inside," said OPP Sgt. Peter Leon. "We can confirm a female victim."
"Heavy fire conditions on arrival and breached into adjoining home," tweeted New Tecumseth Fire Chief Dan Heydon at 12:55 a.m. "Two patients transported to hospital with injuries."
Fire crews are still on scene dealing with hot spots.
The cause of the fire is not yet known. OPP and the Fire Marshal are on scene investigating.
