It was a weekend of non-stop, action-packed, on-the-edge-of-your-seat hockey for the under-11 Barrie Colts select team.
The team participated in the Pickering Spring Thaw Tournament this past weekend and went through the round-robin with a 3-0-1 record with 22 goals for and only four goals against, giving them a bye to the gold-medal game against their rivals, the Whitby Wildcats.
Fighting back and forth, battling right to the end, digging deep and giving everything they had, the Colts came away with a tough 1-0 loss to take home the silver medal, representing their hometown with pride.
Their next stop is Stouffville’s Year Ender Bender tournament this coming weekend.
