Barrie police and Barrie fire will face off against one another for a charity hockey game on April 8.

It’s a well-known fact that there is a long-standing, friendly rivalry between police officers and firefighters, so what better way to celebrate than to have the two emergency services face off against each another on the ice for a good cause.

Barrie police and Barrie Fire are scheduled to go skate to skate on Tuesday, April 8 for the 911 Crosstown Classic, a charity hockey game in support of Hospice Simcoe.

Police and firefighters will face off beginning at 7 p.m. for an action-packed hockey game at Sadlon Arena in Barrie, with all proceeds going to Hospice Simcoe, a local organization dedicated to providing compassionate end-of-life care for individuals and families in the community.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $12 each and can be purchased here.
