The Bear Creek Kodiaks and Innisdale Invaders senior boys football teams took advantage of a crisp, autumn day for their Simcoe County Athletic Association (SCAA) semifinal game on Thursday afternoon.
Playing on their home field, the Kodiaks came away with a 19-7 victory and will now play in next week's SCAA final.
In the other semifinal game, the Eastview Wildcats upset the Barrie North Vikings, 27-0. The Wildcats came into the game in fourth place in the four-team loop, while the Vikings sat atop the league with a 5-1 record.
The SCAA final between the Wildcats and the Kodiaks will be played Thursday, Nov. 11 at 2 p.m., at Bear Creek, which is located at 100 Red Oak Dr.
The winner of that game will advance to the Georgian Bay final, which will pit the SCAA winner against the Catholic School Athletics of Simcoe County (CSASC) champion. That game is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 18 at 2 p.m.
The GB championship game will be the end of the line, with no teams advancing to the provincial level, as both local school boards have opted not to send teams to OFSAA this year due to COVID concerns.
