HAMILTON - The Hamilton Cardinals secured a 6-2 victory against the Barrie Baycats at Bernie Arbour Memorial Stadium on Friday.

The Cardinals offense was led by Luis Bernardo, Dennis Dei Baning, Josh Niles, and Brendon Daley. Bernardo, Dei Baning and Daley each hit doubles, with Daley driving in two runs.

Canice Ejoh and James Anderson each hit a double, with Anderson driving in both of the Baycats runs, bringing his RBI total to three for the season.
Jacob Gajic took the win for the Cardinals, while Braedan Pakkala was tagged with the loss.

The Cardinals improve to 14-18 and host the Brantford Red Sox Sunday at 2:05 p.m.The Baycats drop to 20-10 and get back at it Saturday when they host the Kitchener Panthers.

Jackfish hammer Red Sox

BRANTFORD - The Welland Jackfish pounded out 20 hits en-route to a 23-5 win over the Brantford Red Sox Friday on the road.

Jake Sanford, Robert Mullen and Greyson Barrett each had four RBI. Matteo Porcellato also drove three runs.

Ethan Paulos drove in a pair for the Red Sox.

Jackfish starter Enrique Saldana was solid on the mound striking out four.

The Jackfish visit the Kitchener Panthers Sunday at 2 p.m., while the Red Sox host the Toronto Maple Leafs Saturday at 2 p.m.

Maple Leafs prevail in marathon over Majors

LONDON - Dan Marra crossed home plate in the 11th inning to give the Toronto Maple Leafs an 8-7 win over the London Majors Friday.

Jordan Castaldo, Ryan Dos Santos, and Charlie Towers hit doubles for the Maple Leafs, with Jose Vinicio, Johnathan Solazzo, Justin Marra, Dos Santos, Mike Cecchetto, and Towers all had RBI.

Andrew Lawrence led the Majors offence with a double, homerun, and two RBI.

Landon Leach earned the win on the mound, while Jose Arias took the loss.

The victory improves the Maple Leafs record to 10-21, and travel to Brantford Saturday to take on the Red Sox at 2 p.m. The Majors drop to 18-10 and hit the road Sunday against the Maple Leafs at 2 p.m.
