The Ontario Hockey League released its exhibition schedule on Wednesday ahead of the 2021-22 and the Barrie Colts will hit the ice for the first time in months on Labour Day.
The Colts' first pre-season game will be Monday, Sept. 6 at home versus the Owen Sound when the Attack visits Sadlon Arena. The game is set to begin at 6 p.m.
The OHL's exhibition schedule includes 54 games from Friday, Sept. 3 through Sunday, Oct. 3. All clubs are scheduled to play between three and six pre-season contests.
The Barrie Colts have six games on tap.
Barrie's other exhibition games include Friday, Sept. 17 at Kitchener before the Rangers come to town the following night. Both games are set to begin at 7:30 p.m.
The Colts will travel to London on Friday, Sept 24 to take on the Knights at 7:30 p.m., and will be in Owen Sound at battle the Attack on Saturday, Sept. 25 at 7 p.m.
The Knights visit Barrie on Thursday, Sept. 30 at 7:30 p.m.
The first exhibition game of the pre-season will take place Friday, Sept. 3 when the Sarnia Sting travels to London to take on the Knights, with puck-drop set for 7:30 p.m.
Training camps are expected to open on Thursday, Sept. 2 and the regular-season schedule gets underway on Thursday, Oct. 7.
