The two-day tournament included Banting Memorial, Bradford District, Nottawasaga Pines and Nantyr Shores, with Kempenfelt Cup Barrie taking place today, featuring Barrie North, Bear Creek, Innisdale, Eastview and Maple Ridge schools

The 9th annual Kempenfelt Cup charity high school hockey tournament continued today at Sadlon Arena in Barrie to raucous cheering.

The event packed the stands with a couple of thousand students from around the region who were on hand to support their teams.

The two-day tournament included Banting Memorial, Bradford District, Nottawasaga Pines and Nantyr Shores, with Kempenfelt Cup Barrie taking place today, featuring Barrie North, Bear Creek, Innisdale, Eastview and Maple Ridge schools.

The tourney is in support of Barrie and District Christmas Cheer.
