The Barrie Colts were on the road last night against the Owen Sound Attack.

The Colts were without leading point scorer Tyson Foerster who is away in Hamilton this week, as he gets set to play in the CHL/NHL Kubota Top Prospects game Thursday night.

Jet Greaves got the start in goal for Barrie.

In the first period, it was Colts newcomer Evan Vierling notching his first goal as a member of the team. Christopher Cameron and Ethan Cardwell got the assists.

The Attack would respond with two goals, first from Brady Lyle and the Sergey Popov.

The first frame ended with Owen Sound leading 2-1.

Owen Sound kept up the pressure in the second period, with Kaleb Lawrence scoring just under three minutes in.

Both teams would have chances on the powerplay later in the period, but neither would find the back of the net.

In the third period, the Attack continued the offense, outshooting the Colts 16-3 in the first 10 minutes of the frame, and scoring one goal courtesy of Matthew Philip.

The final score was 4-1.

The Colts are back in action Friday night on the road against the Niagara IceDogs.
