We are the champions! Teams get their due from city council

Barrie city council honoured local sports champions at last night's meeting.

The Simcoe County Rovers FC men’s soccer team won the 2023 League1 Ontario Championship in early September.

Barrie Bombers lacrosse teams were also honoured. The Under-13 Boys C Lacrosse Team and the Under-15 Girls B Lacrosse Team won the 2023 Ontario Box Lacrosse Provincial Championships.

Recognized, too, were members of the 2023 Team Ontario Lacrosse Championships from the Under-17 Women’s Box Lacrosse Team and the Under-17 Men’s Field Lacrosse Team.
