Dogtopia ready to unleash its first location in Barrie

Dogtopia is pleased to announce the opening of its first location in Barrie, Ontario. Located at 201 Cundles Rd East, Dogtopia Barrie will be open for their first day of business on Monday, April 27.

Originally scheduled to open in March, like many businesses set to open their doors, owner Greg Lawson decided to postpone the opening and monitor the ongoing impact caused by the COVID-19 novel coronavirus. After assessing the situation for the last few weeks, it became clear that many essential workers in the area may not have resources in place to take care of their dogs while they are working long hours to serve their communities.

“Our location is very close to the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre and backs onto the Barrie Police Department,” says Lawson. “We have realized that some of those people working in jobs that have been deemed essential by the Ontario government have been left without options for dog-care. We know how important the work they are doing to serve our community is and also know the peace of mind that having their dog properly taken care of while they are at work can provide, so we are happy to be able to safely offer this service.”
