NEW YORK — Tampa Bay Lightning right-wing Nikita Kucherov, St. Louis Blues right-wing Vladimir Tarasenko and Pittsburgh Penguins centre Sidney Crosby are the NHL's three stars of the week.
Kucherov recorded multiple points in all three of his appearances last week, totalling three goals and seven assists, to propel the league-leading Lightning to their fifth straight win overall. Kucherov opened the week with consecutive four-point performances in wins over Calgary and Dallas.
Tarasenko also registered multiple points in each of his games, compiling four goals and six assists in four games to help the Blues match a franchise record with their 10th straight victory overall. He eclipsed the 400-point milestone over the week and now has 401 points (204 goals, 197 assists) in 478 games.
Crosby had two goals and eight assists in four games to lift the Penguins to three wins and into the first wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference.
