Karl Amm died peacefully at Simcoe Hospice on Dec. 26 at the age of 90.
At his passing he was beside his wife Dorothy who has been married to him for 62 years. He is survived by his wife Dorothy nee (Lemonson), 3 daughters Carla, Norine and Jennifer (Brent) and two grandsons Broderick Black and Tanner Lietuninkas. As well one granddaughter Brooklynn Black.
Karl started his journey in Canada in Winnipeg, Manitoba as an electrician where he met through friends Dorothy and they married.
Then moving to Owen Sound Ontario in 1971 to open an A&W with his nephew David Greensides. Then leaving Owen Sound for Barrie Ontario in 1985 to open two A&Ws.
Here in Barrie he joined St. John Vianney Church. He was involved in St. Vincent de Paul and the Rosary Apostlate for many years. He was very humourous at times and liked to watch sci-fi on television.
He will be greatly missed.
