April 13, 1937 – September 8, 2024.

Passed away peacefully in her 87th year, at Amica Little Lakes, Barrie on September 8th 2024. Daughter of the late Richard and Dorothy Warren. Cherished and loving wife of Ronald James Anderson of 64 years. Jackie was the beloved and loving mother of Nancy (Dave), Sharon (Glenn) and Julie (Curtis). She cherished her grandchildren Zack (Sama), Davey, Caleb (Ginny), Joshua, Sarah, Sean and Devin. Great Grandmother of Charlie, Blake Jaclyn and Eyla. She is missed dearly by her beloved sister Cheryl (Don) Giffin. Sister-in-law to the late Fern and John Sadler, to Al and Gwen Anderson, Jim and Sue Anderson, Dianne Way, and to the late Mary (Dave) Moylan. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews and all her friends and caregivers.

Jackie grew up in the Beaches and attended Malvern Collegiate where she became a cheerleader. She loved going to all their football games and cheering on the football teams. Her love of cottage country began as a young girl attending friend’s cottages and summer camps in Haliburton, where she also met her husband Ron at Deer Lodge. Jackie had a passion for sports. You could always catch her watching football, golf or hockey. She was a big part of Ron’s love of hockey when he played for the Oldtimer’s with the Hydro Happy Gang. They developed long relationships with wonderful friends. They travelled all over Ontario and to Florida, as a group, for hockey tournaments. Jackie was very involved in the Thornhill community where she raised her 3 daughters. She made sure she was involved in her church, brownies, girl guides and many other women’s groups. She loved sitting in hockey arenas to cheer on her grandchildren during the winter months. Jackie cherished spending her summers at their cottage surrounded by her children, grandchildren and her many cottage friends. She also spent a lot of time with her beloved sister, Cheryl and husband Don and her nieces and nephews in Michigan, Florida and their cottage in Muskoka. Though Jackie may no longer be with us, her love has touched many hearts. Rest in peace. You will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Parish, 65 Amelia St., Barrie on Saturday, September 14th, 2024 at 10 AM.
