Armstrong, Lynne

Lynne passed peacefully on her own terms with her loving daughter Cindi at her side on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at the age of 69, after a 9 year battle with pancreatic cancer.  Predeceased by her beloved husband Lorne Armstrong.  Survived and to be missed greatly as “best mom in the world” by her daughter Cynthia (Cindi) Townsend, and the devoted and doting Nana of Katie Townsend.  She will be remembered by Michael Townsend and family.   Lynne is survived by brother Barrie Hull and wife Theo of Washington and sister in-law Nancy of Oregon.  Predeceased by brother Richard Hull of Oregon.  Much loved daughter of the late George Monger and Kay Kennedy.  Godmother to Jennifer and Karen Mayberry.   Beloved sister in-law to Eleanor, Doreen and Howard, and loving Aunt to many nieces and nephews.  Lynne wanted her special friends to be acknowledged at this time for their unwavering, constant and loving support throughout her illness-Gail, Suzanne, Sherry, Shirley, Lorraine, Pat, Eileen, Glenda and Brenda.  Lynne spent her last days peacefully at Hospice Simcoe amongst angels on earth.  Friends may call at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME 445 St. Vincent street, Barrie on Monday, November 16, 2015 from 10 am until time of Service in the Chapel at 11 o’clock a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a gift be given to Hospice Simcoe or the charity of your choice. www.adamsfuneralhome.ca
