It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Ralph Bache (1954 – 2024, Barrie, Ontario) a loving husband, father, son, uncle, and friend. Ralph’s warmth, kindness, and selflessness touched the lives of everyone he encountered. He was a devoted family man who found joy in spending time at the cottage,  creating lasting memories with his loved ones and nurturing a deep appreciation for nature.

For 48 years, Ralph was an integral part of Oakdale Child and Family Service Inc. His caring nature made a difference in the lives of those around him and he shared lessons about integrity, empathy and compassion.

Ralph, beloved husband of 34 years to Bonnie, a cherished and devoted Father to Briar (Derek) and Colton (Deb) and a caring Grandpaw to Koda. He will be greatly missed by his mother Lisa, his niece Ashley, nephews Kevin and Mitchell, great nieces Eleanor and Rhiannon, great nephew Everett, and Mother-Outlaw Sheran Oberholzer. He is predeceased by his father Werner and brother Ronnie. He has left a huge hole in the hearts of many.

Ralph’s legacy of love, kindness and unwavering support for family and friends will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Ralphy’s family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff in ICU at Royal Victoria Regional Hospital and a special shout out to Nurse Bonnie and Nurse Brenda for going above and beyond with compassion and kindness.
