It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Robert Earl Crewe of Barrie at the age of 85 on July 13, 2024.

Bob was born November 16, 1938, in Peace River, Alberta, to George and Gayle Crewe.

He will be lovingly remembered by his companion and soul mate of 40 years, Marlene Davies; sister Gina (Donald) and brother Victor (Susan); daughter Tammy (Christian), sons Ted and Todd, and their partners; nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

He will also be dearly missed by his friends in the community, but especially long-time friends and members of The Saints, those who gathered for meals at Loobies, and perishoners of St. Paul’s Anglican Church and St. John’s Anglican Church.

Bob was always very kind, gentle, loving, and helpful, always willing to lend a hand where and when he could. “Bob, the Builder” was very methodical in his approach to repairs and new projects.

Family and friends will celebrate Bob’s life at a funeral service to be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church (5 Noraline Avenue; corner of St. Vincent St. and Noraline Ave.) in Midhurst on Saturday, August 10, 2024. Visitation will be at 2 pm; service to follow at 3 pm. Light refreshments to follow.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Georgina Manor and Royal Victoria Hospital. Your care and support for Bob will always be remembered.
