On February 9, 2024 at the age of 77 and after a brave battle with Alzheimers/Dementia, Allan passed onto peacefulness at Woods Park Community & Retirement Living in Barrie, Ontario.
A very loving family man, Allan will be greatly missed by his "babe" of 57 years Ruth Eyers (nee Reid) . Pre-deceased by his youngest son Rhett in 1999, Allan's oldest son Jeffery (Donna) will never forget the best dad that any kids could hope for. Allan will also be forever lovingly remembered and missed by his siblings, Joan (Rodger), Warren (Cindy), Brian (Lee) and Gus. Also loving and missing Allan are his grandchildren Jeffrey & Evelyn, along with his neices and nephews, Rebecca (Kyle), Daniel (Nicole), Jillian (James), Barry, Richard, Wendy (Rob), Ann, Tracey, Andrew, Brian and many cousins.
A life-time resident of Barrie, Ontario, there are many friends who will have the fondest memories of a truly great man.
A man who everyday had a smile for everyone. A man who's heart knew no bounds for love. A man who's faith was absolutely unshakable.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Allan's Life on May 11th from 1pm - 4pm at Ferndale Banquet Hall in Barrie, Ontario.
Donations in Allan's name are being welcomed by the Alzheimers Society of Canada.
