FAULDS, Lori May

(February 1, 1963 - August 7, 2017) - Lori passed away peacefully at home in the arms of her loving sister Kim. Lori leaves behind her sisters Eleanor, Kim (Chuck), Lynne (Jay), and brother Stuart (Miranda). Lori was the devoted Aunt to Jake, Lainey, Jennifer, Jessica, Samantha, Alyson, David, Blake and Drew. Predeceased by parents Chris and Archie. Lori's beloved dog, and constant companion Jojo will miss her dearly. Lori lived with a genetic blood disease which was diagnosed 30 years ago. She had the gift of a liver transplant in 1992, survived the flesh-eating disease, a leg amputation, an unrelated head injury, as well as many other life-threatening illnesses. Although she faced many challenges over the years, Lori focussed on living. Lori went back to school in 1999 and graduated from York University with a bachelor degree. Lori was truly amazing. Lori will be missed by her good friend, Kim Dolan, who provided much love and support to Lori and the family over the last few months and her many attendant care workers especially Sheila, Brenda and Kim with whom she formed a special bond. Special thanks to Dr. Page Steciuk and Dr. Luchkiw. Family and friends will be received at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet’s Point Road, Barrie, on Friday, August 11, 2017 for visitation from 12pm to 1pm. A celebration of her life will follow at 1pm. Donations in Lori’s memory may be made to the Child and Youth Mental Health Services Foundation at Royal Victoria Hospital or to Youth Haven.
