1940 – 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Donald “Don” Clifford Foster on September 25, 2024, at the age of 84. Don was the beloved son of the late Clifford and Gladys Foster, and brother of Ken (Linda) Foster. He was also predeceased by his first wife, Joan (nee Stearns), in 1982.
Don is lovingly remembered by his wife, Margaret “Marg”, with whom he shared over 40 wonderful years. He was a devoted father to Dawn-Marie (Bill) Watson and Timothy (Kelly) Foster, and a caring step-father to Christine (Barry) McCallum and Deidre (Dave) McNeil. Cherished grandfather to Christine (Andrew), Joel, Morgan (Vinny), Jake, Ashley, Dara, Larisa, Joseph, and Cole, and a proud great-grandfather to Samira and Lulia.
Known for his sharp wit and humour, Don could light up any room. Often described as a “smart ass” and lovingly referred to as an “old fart,” his infectious laughter brought joy to everyone around him. He was a passionate golfer, a hard worker, and a true family man, who always provided for those he loved. Above all, Don had a remarkable talent for delegation—a skill at which he truly excelled at, just ask Marg.
In keeping with Don's wishes, a private cremation has taken place, and no formal service will be held. Please remember Don through the happy memories shared with him.
