HAMILTON, Shirley-Elyse

It is with deep sadness the Hamilton family announces the passing of a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Shirley passed away on January 4,2017 at home in the arms of her loving husband of 38 years, John. She is also survived her son Jason, daughter in law Suzette and Grandchildren Shyene and Mallory and many cousins throughout Ontario and Eastern Canada. Shirley was predeceased by her brother and her parents. Shirley and John had a unique bond of love, trust and respect. which never wavered. She dearly loved her 1-2-hour almost daily phone calls with Jason. She was extremely proud of he and his family and had an unmeasurable amount of love for them. Despite Shirleys many long-term health issues she maintained a cheerful outlook on life, had great respect and compassion for others and as a result, was loved by too many people to mention. She was a treasure and will be missed by many. A funeral service will be held at the Jennett Funeral and Cremation Centre,152 Bradford Street in Barrie on Tuesday January 10 at 11:00 AM. A visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM will precede the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Diabetic Society, the Kidney Foundation or the CNIB and are greatly appreciated by the family. Online memories and condolences are also a comfort to John and the family.
