July 10, 1943 - November 10, 2024

Charles passed peacefully at home after a struggle with pancreatic cancer, on Sunday November 10, 2024.

Charles leaves behind his wife Marilyn, of 51 years, his son Bill Fraser (Colleen) and their children Claire and Thomas, his daughters Sharryn Harris (Ryan Newell), Lori Curran (John) and their children Amy and Jake. Predeceased by his parents Charles and Edna and his brother Carl (2023).

Charles attended Prince of Wales P.S. and Barrie Central Collegiate and continued his education at Ryerson in Civil Engineering Technology. He moved to Ottawa where he was employed by Public Works and then Concordia Construction. He moved back to Barrie and started C. A. Harris Demolition. He was an entrepreneur who always had several projects on the go, or in his mind! He was a long-time member and chair of Heritage Barrie and belonged to the Barrie Curling Club.

Chuck loved to go on road trips and was always up for whatever adventure was planned. He loved life and most of all, he loved spending time with his family and being with his children, his grandchildren and their family pets. He was a very likeable man and never hesitated to help someone in need. He never forgot a birthday or special occasion. He had a great sense of humour and often was the life of every room he entered. He enjoyed spending his weekends at the cottage and you would never find him far from a pair of binoculars.

He will be dearly missed by many.

Friends will be received on Monday, November 18th, 2024 between 11am - 2 pm at Adams Funeral Home. Internment to take place immediately following at Barrie Union Cemetery.

Thank you to the oncologists at RVH for their care and concern over the past year and a half.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Simcoe Muskoka Regional Cancer Program at Royal Victoria Hospital or Hospice Simcoe in Charles memory would be appreciated by the family.

Messages of condolence may be forwarded to the family through adamsfuneralhome.ca
