August 2, 1934 – December 12, 2024
Barbara Ann Harvey (nee Sayers) passed away peacefully on December 12, 2024 at the age of 90, with her daughters by her side. She was pre-deceased by her loving husband of 62 years, Harold “Allan” Harvey.
Barb is lovingly remembered by her daughters Loraine (Eric) Dean, Carol Harvey (Brian Colby), grandchildren Ander (Bry) Dean and Alexandra Dean, and great grandchildren Elliot and Felix. Barb will also be fondly remembered by her brothers Allan (Gloria) Sayers and Ronald (Bernice) Sayers, as well as the many nieces and nephews who stayed in touch and brought so much light and many wonderful conversations. Barb was pre-deceased by her parents William and Laura Sayers and brothers William (Grace), Herbert (Ann) and Victor (Mary).
Barb and Al made their home in Scarborough until a move to Barrie in 2017 where they continued to enjoy their retirement. Barb was a very determined and resilient person with a strong work ethic. She was very generous, and over the years spent much of her spare time helping others.
The family will be forever grateful for the extraordinary care from all the staff at Serenity Retirement Home, as well as family physician Dr. Matt Orava, and the nurses of the Barrie Family Health Team.
