Passed away peacefully at home on Friday, February 18, 2022 at the age of 89. Loving wife of late John Walter Holden (2013). Beloved mother of John A. Holden (Janet Lee-Holden) and Stephanie P. Holden. Cherished grandma to Dylan, Taylor, Joshua Wood and also to Victoria and Larissa Holden. Dear sister of Stephen, late Cecelia and late Leonard. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Everyone is invited at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley Street., Barrie, on Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 2 – 4 p.m. and again from 7 – 9 p.m... A Funeral Mass will be held to celebrate the life of Joan on Friday, February 25, 2022 starting from 11 o’clock at St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Interment will take place at the Barrie Union Cemetery in the spring of 2022. Memorial donations made out to the Royal Victoria Regional Cancer Centre Foundation in lieu of flowers would be greatly appreciated by Joan’s family.
