It is with profound sadness that the family of GEORGE HRNCIR of Barrie, announce his peaceful passing on Wednesday, May 8, 2024.
George was a 30+ year employee of General Tire, Barrie.
He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Blanche (Bill Commu, and the late George Johnston); his three grandsons: Graham (Emma), Mitchell(Lauren), and Cameron(Darcy) ;and three great-grandchildren. He was brother to Zbynek , uncle to Lea and Zbynek Jr. (Brno, Czech Rep), and a special friend to Roger and Anita.
George was predeceased by his loving wife Hanna, and his parents Jan and Olga Hrncir.
He was born in Czechoslovakia and in 1968 he selflessly and bravely left everything behind in order to begin a new life for himself and his young family in Canada.
George was an extremely hard worker, meticulous, jack of all trades, the king of his castle, loved his family pets and was very proud of his cactus garden. A very private person, he could be very serious but loved to have fun with his family and refused to grow up.
A private service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers , Memorial Donations may be made to the Salvation Army, Barrie, ON or Mill Creek Care Center.
