Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at Abbotsford Cancer Centre in British Columbia on Friday January 3rd at the age of 52 years, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Ian is survived by his loving wife and best friend Alicia along with their two sons Aiden and Liam, both at home. Ian is the much loved and admired son of John and Patricia Imrie of Barrie and oldest brother to Scott (Morgan) of Minesing and Andrew (Chelsea) of Stonewall Manitoba. Favourite brother in-law to Dan (Megan) and Adam Rojas of Kelowna B.C. and special son in-law to Sue Rojas. Loved uncle to Olivia, Noelle, Vivian and Eilidh, Grayson and Reya.

Ian will always be remembered for his fun loving approach to life, it was his mission to make everyone laugh and as he puts it “Laughter is The Best Medicine”. Ian was a caring soul, helping and giving kindness to others, always putting others before himself.

Ian had tremendous passion for comedy and on the stage is where he shone the most. Lately he took on another passion and that was to help those with PTSD with one on one education and his special PODCASTS.

You would always find Ian outdoors with his family and loved the adventures of camping, boating, biking and hiking. Living life to the fullest was an everyday event.

The family wishes to thank everyone for their support and kind words during this recent ordeal and knowing that Ian had such great supportive friends behind him made this Journey easier.

Ian will be cremated in British Columbia with a celebration of life to be held later in Chilliwack B.C. and also in Barrie.
