1944-2024

Sadly, Bob's 5-year journey with Parkinson's Disease has come to an end in his 80th year on September 3, 2024.

Growing up in an Air Force family Bob lived in 5 provinces finally settling in what he considered home, Barrie, Ontario.

Bob, a retired electronics technician, had varied interests including international travel and road trips alike. He had an appreciation for classic rock music and was amazing with crosswords, general knowledge, and trivia details. He was also an avid reader for most of life. Bob enjoyed fine dining with a great bottle of wine, especially with a rack of lamb or west coast salmon. Bob would also occasionally savour different beers of the world.

Bob was a humble, an unassuming man, and deeply loyal to family and friends.

Bob is survived by Barbara, his wife and best friend of 54 years. He was predeceased by his parents, sisters Karen and Catherine, and survived by his brother-in-law, Steven. He was cherished “uncle Bob” to nieces Stephanie and Jennifer.

Bob will be missed by his extended family, mother-in-law Lillian, sisters-in-law, Carol (Wayne), Bonnie P., Bonnie G. and brother-in-law, George (Danny). He will be fondly remembered by nephews Rick (Trisha), Kevin, and Adrian.

At Bob's request there will be no funeral service. Cremation has taken place, and a private inurnment service will be held by the family at Barrie Union Cemetery at a later date.

If so desired, donations to Parkinson Canada would be appreciated.
