August 25, 1943 – December 6, 2024

Passed away with family by his side on Friday, December 6, 2024 at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie at the age of 81. Cherished brother to Dianne (Fred) Richardson. Predeceased by his parents Marie and Frederick Kirkland.

Garry left his favourite Bradford Street neighbourhood for the last time. He lived and worked there for most of his life. His work life began at Dangerfield Motors as a young man, and after a time of specially painting and detailing cars, he was back selling cars on “The Strip”. He spent over 50 years in the industry and didn’t appreciate “tire kickers” but if you wanted a good used car he was your guy, as proven by many retired customers.

Though always a car guy, he also enjoyed music from Rockin Ronnie Hawkins to the Gaithers as well as baseball. His favourite pastime in these last years was sitting on his porch listening to baseball and chatting with Greg.

He will be missed by his family and friends. There will be no formal or informal public services held. If so desired, memorial donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated. Condolences may be forwarded to the family by visiting www.legacyfuneral.ca
