Laurella Margaret Laver (nee Lindsey) passed away peacefully at the age of 95 years with her family by her side on Monday April 1st, 2024, at the Pines Long Term Care Residence, Bracebridge.
Laurella was born July 19th, 1928, in Toronto Gore Twsp. in the County of Peel, the youngest of three daughters for her parents Howard Lindsey & Jane Lindsey (nee Armstrong) who have both predeceased her. She is survived by her eldest son, George (Laura) of Bracebridge as well as extended family members and friends.
Laurella was married to her husband Norman Barry Laver in February 1965 until Norman’s passing in January 1981. She is also predeceased by her youngest son Timothy James Laver in January 2024 and by her two older sisters Rhoda and Eva.
Laurella spent the last four years at the Pines Long Term Care Residence in Bracebridge where she received exceptional care from the nurses, PSW’s and facility staff.
Visitation will be from 9:30-11a.m. on Saturday April 6th, 2024 at the Paul F. Kent Funeral Home in Cookstown with funeral service at 11a.m. A luncheon will follow the service, then to Alliston Union Cemetery, Alliston for burial.
