Catherine 91, Barrie, Ontario formerly of Victoria Harbour and Richmond Hill died peacefully, August 24, 2024 at home with her children by her side.
Born in Pictou County, Nova Scotia, daughter of George Stuart and Christina (Clyburn) Stuart.
Survived by her daughter Kim Lennox formerly of Stratford, sons Keith Lennox Jr. (Yona Satin), Ken Lennox, Barry Dunn (Brenda) Sylvester, NS, grandchildren Devereaux, Crystal, Timothy, Ryan, great-grandchildren Noah, Josie, Kaleb, Brett, Faith, many nieces and nephews, and childhood friend Raymond MacDougall.
Catherine was predeceased by her husband Keith Gordon Lennox; sisters Shirley Vachel, Maude Butts; brothers James, Donald, George and Ernest Stuart; half sisters Helen McNeil, Gladys Ryan, and Gloria Allen; half brothers Edward, Reginald, John and Robert Peckham.
Those who knew her remember her beautiful dimpled smile and dark twinkling eyes.
She spent many hours volunteering for Meals on Wheels and the Canadian Cancer Society. She loved her flower garden and kept an immaculate home.
Catherine was adventurous and loved trying new things. Was so proud in her late 30’s passing her drivers test and was still driving well into her 80’s. She had a terrible sense of direction but always managed to find her way home with a harrowing story to tell. She enjoyed the family walks through the woods or barefoot on the beach at the cottage. Together with Keith Sr. in retirement spent many days adventuring around small towns in the area and across the country especially back home to Nova Scotia.
Above all she cherished her family and has left us all with beautiful memories that will never be forgotten.
